Fairy Tales and Sad Endings...

Not all fairy tales has a happy ending. Though it might all be flowers and rainbows, some are just told to hurt. Take A little Mermaid for instant, how the mermaid gave everything to pursue the prince she fell in love with, left her home, her family behind only to lose him in the end, and only to die broken hearted and turn into mush in the sea. Or look at Pocahontas, loving a man so different to her culture, finally having to let him go and endure the pain of knowing they will never meet again… Until Disney made a Pocahontas 2 and hooked her up with some new guy… But then again, Disney made Bambi which is just… so… heartbreaking!!! I mean... WTH??? Bambi's mom dies? What kind of a Kid's movie is that???! All these tales, were told to us when we barely understood any word or even know how to walk. And it has, from those early days taught us that reality, no matter how amazingly wonderful it is in the beginning, may turn out to be bitter and hurtful. And to wake up from that, to pick up the broken pieces of the heart and live life, is the ultimate test of belief and faith. We have grown up. We still haven’t learned…

But they are tales… Stories to tell and learn by. So is the life we’re living. No matter how bad the outcome is because of any decision we make, is always a story that we create for ourselves, with an ending that we chose by circumstances. The little mermaid died sacrificing her love to her prince as she witnessed him with another woman and that was her choice. What, in our life, are our options?

If U Seek Amy, Film Censorship Board of Malaysia!!!

I just realized that that Malaysian TV sucks! I'm a HUGE fan of Britney Spears and regardless of her personal life, i think she's the most talented awesome female singer/entertainer ever to exist on this planet. Not to mention being beautiful and demonically gorgeous! So i turned to MTV channel and started to watch videos...

Ciara feat Justin Timberlake - Love Sex Magic was played. Cool song... the video is super-sexy. You can see Ciara making a worm out of herself, wiggling her butt between JT's legs and wrapping herself around him all the time. Haha.. If there's a PG-18 ratings, this video should have it... Very sexy.. very... oohs and aahs... Then there were other Hip Hop videos that were just as sexy and revealing... Suddenly there's Britney's new single "If You Seek Amy". Being a crocker-crazy Britney fan I jumped for the remote and turned the volume as loud as i can. Then it happened. Her video was cut off. Next song was Miley Cyrus's The Climb. And i was like "Whadahell???"

I don't get it. I seriously don't get it. Why on hell, heaven or earth's name did they cut it off? Coz of the lyrics? It's just plain stupid coz they played the 5 secs towards the end part before it was cut off and you can obviously still hear the "If You Seek Amy" part being recited over and over again. And haha... Isn't Lady Gaga's "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick" has the same meaning as "If You Seek Amy"? Not to forget Akon's "I wanna make love right now na na". I dont see their songs being banned from the TV. Is it coz of Britney's sexy outfit? Hahaha... That would be a freakin lame excuse because the black dress she wore in it was decent enough to be called a dress compared to the thing Rihanna wore in her song Rehab and they let that video broadcasted. Lame lame lame. I'm just confused on what the guidelines of censorship do malaysian TV follow. It's just stupid. Just because it's Britney and she's famous they banned her video clips. It's plain stupid. I mean what? if kids see the video they would wear something like that? Oh My God people! They don't have to watch her video to dress worse than her. I just wish someone would put an end to this hypocracy (however you spell it) and open their eyes to reality. If U Seek Amy is just a song just like the rest. it just happens to have a very beautiful video and an alternatif meaning depending on how long people havent cleaned their ears...

Anyways, all the songs i mentioned above are awesome so i don't mean they shouldn't be allowed to show on TV. It just sucks knowing that they are allowed to be on TV when my girl Britney is not. And it just shows how unclear TV censorship is in this country. They're gonna see the videos on YouTube anyway so why hide it? Not like a boob is showing or anything... Hypocracy sucks... But it's a decease that has no cure... sigh... Film Censorship Board of Malaysia, If U Seek Amy!

I wov CSI!!!

Yeah.. i know... some topic to blog about, huh? Well, being recently graduated and jobless, i became more of a couch potato... well semi-couch potato coz i spent my free time, (which is all the time) in front of the computer or TV. And they played re-runs of CSI : NY except now they replaced it with CSI : Miami... anyway, i got stuck watching CSI everyday and became addicted to it... And yeah, the show is freakin' awesome! but wisely unlogic. I mean, of course we all know that it's just a TV show and murder cases obviously don't get solved in one day, let alone one hour... but it's just the matter of humoring and thinking how funny these unlogicness could be...

First of all, it's seriously magical how every fiber they find in homicide cases... even gross thingies that are like 1mm big can be used as evidence. Meaning, the murderers always leave behind something, even as small as an amoeba that later can be found by those super-smart csi people to be traced back to them... Looking at the carpet of my own house. There's like 10000000 billion particles of crap i dont even know what they are in all sizes. And no matter how hard i vacum-clean the carpet, they're still there (or at least 30% of them). So i was thinking, what if i was murdered and lay there on that carpet, can all those chip left-overs, flees, dust, hair strands and UFOs be used as evidence to find my murderer? And most ridiculously... in one day..? But it's okay, coz it's always fun to watch these people using magic science to find the crap, the one piece of crap that stands out from the rest. Probably screaming "pick me! i'm the killer's boger not hers!!"

Second of all... isn't a science lab, like a sacred place for CSI dudes to do their jobs? Since any skin marks, hair, vapour, steam can spoil the evidence they collected? Okay so the producers made them wear science lab coats and gloves so they look cool and made a whole new evolution to the nerds and geeks fashionline. But what about the hair? Just look at Buenasera's (CSI NY) long curls bouncing all over the place in the science lab. Don't tell me she uses miracle hairspray that confirms her hair is stuck permenantly to her head and it wouldnt tamper with the evidences, which at some time turned out to be skin cells.. (ewwww!!!) yeah okay, so they can eliminate her in any analysis they do (in one hour of investigation, woohoo!) but still, dont people have protocols and rules on what they should wear in science labs? Then again, producers might want them to remain looking pretty for viewers rates...

And thirdly, it's just amazing how CSIs know so much!!! In one episode where this indiana jones lookalike dude gets murdered, all of a sudden Mac Taylor revised history on the spot like he was reading out of a textbook! He just freaking knows everything!!!. I mean come on! And the fact that they know ALL medical term by heart. One mention of a scientific phrase and they know the decease! i'm telling you, without having to research or look it up. Okay fine, probably the writers want to cut it short and didnt show viewers the research and readings but they didnt eliminate the part where it's all done and solved in one sweet day... Hahaha...! seriously i love this show! Those people are geniuses!

Hehe... i know, i'm probably looking like i'm ruining the awesomeness of CSI to everyone. But trust me i'm a huge CSI addict. It's just that some thoughts keep bugging my head and i'm just letting it out. I'm sure i'm not the only one who thinks about this... But in order to enjoy the TV show, my advise is to just don't think about it. I mean, besides being good looking and all (Detective Flack... ahh...), they can still be geniuses... Right?

Don't jump into conclusions... And be smart.. not stupid..

Yeah, yeah... we all heard, Muslims are like worldwide known as terrorists and are trained how to handle guns and bazookas since birth... It's impossible to change people's perspective due to what's there on the news, blogs, newspapers... and all those stuff... It's tremendously ridiculous to change people's way of thinking, even though there's such a thing called 'brainwash'. Some people are smart enough to leave judging jobs to God. But it's undeniably wrong to say that each and everyone of us hasn't even once, judge anything or anyone...

I am a Muslim. Not a good one. I have flaws that are more permanant than the Hollywood walk of fame... Not proud of them, Not letting them pull me down either... But sometimes, i just get sick and tired of the attitude and behaviour of people who claim to be better thaneveryone else.

I received a forward e-mail from a friend alerting people, especially Muslims about this cube building in New York which ressembles the Kaabah in Mekah. And so, they called it 'Apple Mecca'. And my first reaction to this e-mail is "WTF??" i mean seriously how could people throw away respect to other religions and build such a building that looks exactly like the holy kaabah Muslims use to as a guide to pray. (yes note that, we dont 'worship' kaabah... it's a direction guide for prayers). And in the same e-mail it says that the 'apple mecca' is going to be a bar selling drinks and booze in the middle of New York. So i was like, "Seriously, these people are looking for another kamikaze attack..." But then, my rational side of the mind reminded me how lame e-mails like this are the ones that bought up anger and frustration in people's mind for no reason but to mess up humanity. So i looked it up... Turned out that picture was take during construction of the building. It just COINCIDENTALLY looked like Kaabah because that black plates are used to cover up the construction site. I mean, who would dumbly construct a building using black metal plates when there's cybertron technology out there...?

So then i looked for some explanation. Just to confirm things. I already started feeling stupid by then. So i found the final outcome of the building. Turned out it's is JUST a cube shaped ENTRANCE of a building made out of clear glass. And it's called Apple Store Fifth Avenue not 'Apple Mecca'. Fans called it the latter just coz it's supposedly attracts tourists... Oh and it is not a bar! Rofl... could gossip get any worse???
And yes. It was confirmed. My first reaction to the e-mail was as dumb as a donkey's butt. And i was thinking... if someone had sent people a pictorial e-mail of the Transformers cube thingy before the movie was released, saying they're insulting kaabah coz of the resemblance... would people seriously start finding ways to attack Universal Studios for it...?!
So there you go. A beautiful building in the middle of New York... What made me laugh the most is the question of how on earth do people say it's a bar when clearly (i mean crystal clearly) it's a computer store... Unless by any chance computers uses wines and beers as lubricator... Alcoholic beverages... Oh my Goodness...! People should seriously do some research before spreading forwarded e-mails just to provoke others.... I bet whoever started it is just a contractor who didn't get the contract for the building.. so he got jealous and spread lies hoping some Bin Laden wannabes to sabotaj the construction... Either that.. or someone was really bored..

So my whole point of this is to remind myself and others to be a bit more open-minded to any OTHER possibilities. Get your facts straight before you start jumping into conclusions... Religion is a very sensitive issue but don't let it make you lose your sense of humanity. The world is a big place for everyone to share. So don't make it small by being such a dumbass...
